2nd Annual UT System Physical Activity Challenge

2009 Annual UT System Physical Activity Challenge: Final Results

As for the challenge, every institution was a winner. We were able to get non-active employees to become active and also, create awareness of resources and programs available to our members (employees, retirees and dependents). So thank you all again, without your support this would have not happened.

Now we do have to crown a winner for our 2009 institution challenge. This institution did an excellent job promoting the program with the involvement of UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center Team, HR/Benefits and Wellness Champions. Our 2009 Annual UT System Physical Activity Challenge is UT Tyler. Congratulations!

We will be working with UT Tyler to schedule a date to make the official presentation of the 2009 Annual UT System Physical Activity Challenge Traveling Trophy to UT Tyler.

Final results by institutions as of April 24, 2009. See how your institution did during the 2009 Challenge. Again, we thank you all for supporting this initiative.

Can I create teams within my institution team?

Yes, we actually encourage this. Creating a team within your institution team allows you to compete internally at your institution. You can create a team to represent your department, campus, organization... You will still help your institution compete for the “2nd Annual UT System Physical Activity Challenge” Traveling Cup.

Do I have to complete the program in six consecutive weeks?

No, you do not have to complete the program in six consecutive weeks. As long as you complete any six weeks' worth of activity, you will receive credit. Each week, however, is treated independently. In other words, you cannot do more activity in one week and have it count to a previous week when you did not complete your full 150 minutes.
